At the Stanyan trailhead to the lower Historic Trail, one of those green universal “hiker” signs has been added since my last visit.
Continued uphill to hike the rough “East Connector Trail” for the second time (a view from here, first photo: Tank Hill in distance).
This can be accessed from the Interior Greenbelt trailhead (turn right at the top of the sidewalk stairway at dead-end Belgrave: second pic). The unmarked trail meanders around above the homes on Stanyan and you'll climb over a few tree limbs, eventually connecting with the lower Historic Trail (third foto).
At Medical Center Way, continued up the East Ridge Trail, its trailhead directly opposite the new Aldea Community Center.
After a bite to eat at the summit benches (fourth pic), started down the North Ridge Trail and back onto the lower Historic out to Stanyan again. Whatever those gorgeous lavender flowers are at this trailhead, they’re definitely among my favorites.
