When I got to the opposite trail down, the old wood steps were gone. What there is now is a steep dirt trail where used to be some useful steps. Easier to get up this than down to the next trail.
Why would they eliminate these much needed steps? Are there plans to add new ones? Miss them: 3, 4, 5, 6
There are about 13 old stone steps still left undisturbed in this immediate area at the low stone wall: pic 7
Two more short stone stairways ascend on the south side from this trail. First this one: 8, 9
Took the third with its 21 steps: 10, 11, 12
Forest wandering: 13 thru 24
Out of the pa4k at the Rockdale trailhead near Del Sur, 42 old stone steps down to the street: 25, 26
