Starting off at the southside trailhead at Portola and Twin Peaks Blvd., my favorite way up: First two
But when I got to the second part, where the crosswalk is for the westside trail, just past the green park sign, surprise! This part was blocked off because it’s getting new steps! This is the part that climbs up alongside Midcrest Way just behind the homes on the east side of the street: 3, 4
So ended up winding east around this part of Twin Peaks Blvd.: 5, 6, 7, 8
Crossing over from the top of Midcrest Way, the last south part was open to climb: 9 thru 13
This third part now has four or so old wood steps at the top. Maybe this stretch will get some steps as well.
Top part of the Blvd. now: 14, 15, 16
Round the east part of Twin PeKS Blvd. that is now closed off to vehicle traffic, passing Noe Peak. Will Noe’s south and north stairs get replacements too?
Eastside trail, winding round on the closed-to-traffic part of Twin Peaks Blvd. What about replacement steps for the 93 old wood ones up from Crestline?: 17 thru 20
Eureka Peak’s new staircount: 112 new steps for the south side and 99 steps down the north side: 21 thru 41
West side of the Blvd. now for the new trail here just over the guardrail, then down to Marview (alongside the reservoir) in the Midtown Terrace neighborhood. How about a crosswalk over to this side?: 42 thru 49
La Avanzada down to Clarendon: 50, 51
Crossing Clarendon over to Mount Sutro for the Edgewood Trail, Edgewood Ave. and down the 149 Farnsworth steps from the north end of Edgrwood Ave.: 52 tjru 57
