Good Connections

Diamond Heights Blvd. needs crosswalks, speedbumps, and a pedestrian skyway for those crossing  into Glen Canyon Park (first pic). Vehicles just keep coming and the street is steep and curvy.

Crossing just above the 37 older Elk steps: 2, 3, 4, 5

A short distance from here, rising from the main eastside trail, newer steps start up. The first flight, the longest, leads to a short dirt stretch - 133 steps to some rocks: 6 thru 14

Following this trail, connected me with another 34 steps: 15 thru 23

Another short, narrow dirt stretch, and 17 more newer wood steps: 24 thru 33

This connects with the main eastside stairway that climbs to Christopher Park in Diamond He9ights - 77  steps up to the viewbench and 92 steps total for this last flight: 34 thru 53

So for these connecting steps-and-dirt-trails: 133 + 34 + 17 + 92 for a total of 276 for this particular route.

You can try other connectors; for example, one trail I like down from the dead-end of Crags Court in Diamond Heights (at the garden) curves down to the main trail with 184 steps.

I like meandering around on San Francisco's park trails and public stairways, sometimes taking photos, and enjoying nature and the outdoors.
