This short hike started at the first bridge bus stop (in front of the Visitor Center): 1thru 13
Along the northernmost trail that was widened some years ago to the first of a string of old batteries. This is between the bridge and the Golden Gate Overlook: 14
Att the first of the row of batteries used to be an old concrete stairway down to the foot of it. It is now blocked off. Several years ago a new footbridge and a few stairs to continue west on this battery were constructed.
The old way down: 15, 16
The way it looks now: 17 thru 21
Continuing along the battery, then down where it’s now green and wildflowery: 22 thru 32
This trail runs along the north edge of the Golden Gate Overlook: 33 thru 51
Used to find young fennel leaves around this time towards the end of this string off batteries, but this time none. Jeez, did they pull them all up?
Golden Gate Overlook and views from: 52 thru 59
Back along the same trail to the bridge area: 60 thru 74
