Swing is Gone Again

Descending from the Diamond Heights neighborhood, past Walter Haas Park, onto Digby, then Beacon.

Entered Billy Goat Hill Park at its upper, Beacon, entrance just past the top of Harry stairway (237 steps), first pic.

Someone has once again cut down the swing. Noticed only two pieces of rope this visit.

Staircount is 81, a curving dirt trail in between wood steps. The park got replacement steps a few years ago.

Steps, trail, views, and the tree with the missing swing: 2 thru 12.

The foot of the park is at 30th, just above the north end of divided Laidley in the Glen Park neigborhood, merging into upper Noe Valley: 13, 14.

Homes near the west dead-end of 30th, Noe Valley: last pic.

Moraga West and HGS

This is part 2 of a recent Golden Gate Heights hike after downhilling from Grandview Park. This neighborhood is a stairway lover’s delight.

Crossing upper to lower 15th Avenue, the Moraga/16th Ave. tiled steps are called "Mosaic Steps" on Google Maps. You can also Google “Moraga Steps.”

Others were enjoying its 163 steps as I descended, trying to stay out of the way of those taking pix: 1 thru 9.

At the foot of this one, continuing a couple blocks north to the top of the Hidden Garden Steps (148), down from Lawton to Kirkham, the neighborhood’s second tiled stairway. 10 thru 31. Google “Hidden Garden Steps.”

Would like to see the 15th Ave. steps, about a block east, also Kirkham to Lawton, be the next one tiled. This stairway is longer than the HGS and Moraga/16th and shown as a garden area on Maps.

I like meandering around on San Francisco's park trails and public stairways, sometimes taking photos, and enjoying nature and the outdoors.
